Study of the Effect of Pretreatment of Corms by Different Concentrations of Gibberellic Acid and at Different Periods on the Growth, Flowering, and Quality of Saffron in Eastern Morocco

The present study was conducted to evaluate the influence of gibberellic acid (25, 50, 100, and 200 ppm) applied on saffron corms previously harvested during different periods (March, June, before planting) growth quantitative qualitative yield (Crocus sativus L.). carried out in field 2016-2017 2017-2018 seasons experimental station Faculty Sciences Oujda (Morocco). measured parameters correspond, one hand, morphometric measurements determination stigma and, other evaluation quality spice. results showed that almost all studied were significantly affected by factors considered. treatment just planting with concentrations 100 ppm GA3 highest flower leaf appearance rate length surface area. Moreover, application month March gave best terms stigmata yield, percentage large-diameter daughter corms, ratio number flowers produced total weight corms. coefficient corm propagation revealed gibberellin any period improved this compared control. indicated above 25 can improve increase its under semiarid climatic conditions eastern Morocco.
